Halfway through our hike, we’ll explore part of the Nor-Bath Trail. Then we will turn around and return to Wayne Grube Memorial Park, a 200-acre park in Northampton County. The Catasauqua Creek meanders down the middle of the park, which also boasts a softball field, 3 pavilions, and toddler-friendly playgrounds. There’s a pleasant loop trail that crosses the Catasauqua Creek twice. We’ll walk through a tunnel on our way to the Nor-Bath Trail, a rail-trail that runs from Northampton to Bath. This hike is appropriate for children of all ages, and dogs on leash are welcome. The trail is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Bring binoculars/camera for taking in the vistas. This is a great place for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, too. Bathrooms: Available. Directions: From Route 22, take exit at Airport Road/PA-987 N toward Lehigh Valley International Airport. Travel 1.4 miles on Airport Road to Race Street and turn left on E. Race Street for 1.2 miles. Turn right at the light onto Willowbrook Road and travel 1.5 miles to entrance of Wayne Grube Memorial Park on the right. Park in parking lot near Pavilion #1 where we will meet.
